1.  What´s e-commerce?

There are many definitions of “e-commerce”, but at its core, e-commerce covers the range of online business activities for products and services. It refers to both “business-to-business” (B2B) and “business-to-consumer” (B2C) transactions that occur through the Internet.

2.  What if my contract with you ends, will I be able to contact another designer to take care of my website?

All websites produced by Z Internet Solutions are done so in accordance to typical web standards and practices. This means any web designer or web design firm will be able to work with your website should you decide to take your business elsewhere. We´ll even make a copy of your entire site on the date you elect to terminate services with us and send it to you at no extra cost.

3.  Do you do anything other than websites?

We provide website hosting, site maintenance, and SEO optimization services in addition to web design and development. And if you need to get up to speed on what the Internet can do for you as an individual, your business, or just to understand what needs to be done to maintain your own website, we provide training as well. Give us a call, or send us and e-mail to discuss your needs.

4.  Can I put music and pictures on my website? If “yes”, what kind of music and pictures can I put up?

Definitely! You can add music and pictures to your site. The only things you need to be mindful of when are as follows: When using music: Honor all copyrights for music you select for use on your site; That each time a visitor comes to your site and the music begins to play, it´s a part of your monthly bandwidth allotment (so remember to ensure you don´t go over your allotment which could result in extra fees for each megabyte you go over). Use music that´s been converted to the MP3 format to consolidate server space and minimize bandwidth usage. When using pictures: Honor all copyrights for photos you select for use on your site; Photos are best displayed in the .jpg format; Most non-photographic images and graphics are best displayed in the .gif format, (except for multicolor business logos, which often better rendered using the .jpg format). Photos should have a resolution between 72 dpi and 96 dpi (with the norm being 72 dpi). When you work with us, just select the photos or music you want, send them to us and we´ll optimize them for use on your site.

5.  What’s the maximum and minimum number of pages I can have?

You can have as few as one page or as many as 1 million! Of course the more pages you want the higher your design and development cost will be. We recommend going with the number of pages that will best display the information you want visitors to see about your business, and that provide the best online experience to your site´s target audience. If you´re interested in learning more, just give us a call to or send us and e-mail.

6.  How big should my site be?

There´s no one answer that fits all situations in this instance. We recommend that you complete our “quote” page, answering all items on the form. After we receive your information, our web designer will have a better understanding of what you want in a website, what content you want on display and how you want your users to interact with you site. From this we can give you a pretty good idea of how many pages you´ll need.
